A new carrier rocket made its first flight in China on Sunday, sending a satellite into the planned orbit.
The rocket, known as TL-2Y1, lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 4:48 p.m. (Beijing time).
The flight will check the overall program of the missile, coordinate between systems, and obtain the parameters of the flight environment.
The satellite will be used for remote sensing imaging experiments and other technical verifications.
