Dana White reveals that Chandler and McGregor had a fight: a lot of shit happened
during the presentation of The Ultimate Fighter.
The pair have been touted to have a UFC fight sometime this year, and comments from the UFC president suggest the fire has already been blown.
“Chandler and Conor were very respectful of each other, and then some things started to escalate, which you’re going to see on the show, and now they don’t like each other,” White said at the UFC 285 press conference.
“I don’t look at the things that are good for the show or anything like that. Whatever happens, happens. The things that just happened shouldn’t happen.”
“I’m getting old, I’m getting old. I’d have been there before in the old days, but yeah, it’s not good.”
“There was a lot of crap on Friday,” he said of the incident.
Chandler sets weight preference
Meanwhile, Chandler looked set to fight McGregor sometime this year, but only in a certain weight range.
“[McGregor] is talking about 185 [pounds], we’ll see. He was talking about 185 and I told him I was bluffing,” he said.
“I don’t think he thinks I’m as heavy and dense as I really am. I’m sitting here at 191 pounds.
“So I fight at 185, at 170, if Dana steps in and gets his way, possibly 155, I don’t care.”
